Supplier discovery

Find more suppliers like yours

Upload the supplier list you already have, from Excel or CSV. SourcingHQ works out what each supplier sells and groups them by product category (HS code). Then it searches the web for more suppliers like them, near you or a place you pick. You choose who to add.

  • Any layout works. Company names and emails are enough to start.
  • Every company it lists is named on a page it found, never made up.
  • Your company and supplier names stay out of the search.
  • Nobody joins your supplier book until you add them.
Upload your supplier list

Upload your supplier list and SourcingHQ groups it by product category, then suggests more suppliers like them for you to add.

Your supplier book

Knows your suppliers, and gets sharper every auction

Every auction you run builds your supplier book: who you invited, who bid, who won and who never replied. Ask the assistant who to invite and it answers from your own history.

Suggestions start once you've run a few auctions. New here? Start from your supplier list above.

The live auction

Your suppliers compete, live.

Suppliers bid inside a window you set. Award line by line, run it open or blind, and schedule it ahead. A late bid that takes the lead puts 3 minutes back on the clock, so nobody wins by sniping.

  • Outbid alerts and bid reminders go out by email
  • Split the award across suppliers, line by line
  • Open bidding or blind bidding, your call per auction

The supplier side

Your suppliers just click and bid

An auction only works if your suppliers show up, so their side takes one click.

  1. 1

    An invite from your company.

"Harrowfield Fabrication invited you to quote", with each item, its quantity and ceiling price. It reads like an invitation, not spam.

  2. 2

    One secure link.

No account, no password, nothing to install, nothing to pay.

  3. 3

A fair view of the room.

They see the live lowest bid, or only whether they're lowest if you run it blind. Never a competitor's name or price.

  4. 4

    A nudge when they're outbid.

An email pulls them back in, and their last bids are saved when they return.

You stay in charge

The assistant works for you, and only for you.

The assistant drafts. You decide.

It never sends an invite, awards an auction or contacts a supplier on its own.

Your data stays yours.

Your suppliers, prices and conversations are never visible to other customers.

Searches don't reveal who you are.

Supplier web searches don't include your company name or your suppliers' names.

No AI on the bid screen.

Suppliers bid on a plain, fair screen. The assistant is for you, not them.

Why competitive bidding works

Questions

What buyers ask first.

What does the assistant actually do?

You describe what you need to buy and it drafts an auction: the items, quantities and details. It can suggest which of your suppliers to invite based on your past auctions, and find new suppliers, from your supplier list or an auction's items. You review everything. It never sends anything on its own.

How do I find more suppliers like the ones I already use?

Start from your current supplier list. Upload it to SourcingHQ in Excel or CSV, and it finds more suppliers like them. It groups them by product category and searches near you or a place you choose. You can also ask the assistant to find suppliers for an auction's items. Contact details aren't always found, and nobody joins your supplier book until you add them. Uploading is free on every plan; searching uses your monthly AI credits. No list yet? Start from our free supplier list template.

What's a reverse auction?

A price competition that only moves down. Instead of buyers bidding a price up, your suppliers compete to offer the lowest price, inside a time window you set. When a reverse auction works, and when it doesn't.

Do my suppliers need an account?

No. They get an email invitation in your company's name and bid through a secure link.

Does the AI ever contact suppliers or pick a winner?

No. It drafts and suggests. Sending invites and awarding an auction are always your decision.

Can it read PDFs or spreadsheets?

It reads the inquiry email itself. Attachments on it, like PDFs and spreadsheets, aren't read yet. Forward the email, type the items in, or import your supplier list from Excel. To compare quotes you've already received, the free comparison tool reads PDFs and spreadsheets.

Is my data shared with other customers?

No. Your suppliers, prices and conversations are only visible to your company's account.

What are credits?

A monthly AI allowance for the assistant, finding new suppliers and enquiry drafts. Uploading your supplier list is free. Every plan includes credits, starting with the free plan.

What does it cost?

Start free with 3 auction events. After that, annual plans counted in auction events - see pricing for the numbers.

Can I compare quotes I've already received?

Yes. Paste or upload them in the free comparison tool, with no account needed, and see each supplier's price side by side. Compare supplier quotes. Or read how to get quotes from several suppliers, so they come back ready to compare.
